Fundraising for A Church in Pochalla, South Sudan

Dear friend:

Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ; you’re invited for a fundraising Prayers to Support a Church in Pochalla, Sudan “Future Pastors are in Bible College and need your support”. The fundraising event will be held in Bloomington MN.  We ask for a donation of $20 and up. Or whatever God is leading to help his work; attached is an appeal letter from Sudan.  

We will hear the Word of God from Pastor Okongo, who recently came from home

Malachi: 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the store house so. There will be enough food in my temple.  If you do, says the lord of heaven, armies, I will open the window of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessings so greet you won’t have enough room to take it in. Try it put me to the task.

Appeal Letter From Sudan

 

Pochalla Evangelical Church

Church building project

Introduction:

      Pochalla is located in South Sudan Eastern Jounglei State near the border of Sudan and Ethiopia. The indigenous population who live there are Anyuak tribe. For many decades, the Anyuaks have not been reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in the same time, the people remained poor Isolated and neglected by the governments and the area did not experience any kind of development. However, the only hope now is the church in this case the Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical church determined and sent minister to start the church there. And now there is congregation worshiping and serving God in Pochalla. And this congregation has ten students under training in Bible school and Nile Theological College in Khartoum –Sudan to go back and do the ministry among Anyuak tribe in Pochalla. Therefore, the congregation decided to build concrete church building to serve as mission base for evangelizing the area and Christian education center.  

Objectives:

1.       To serve as a place of worship for the congregation.

2.       To serve as a place for multi church activities like Bible studies, leadership training, adult education etc.

3.       To Show to the local community the development in the church.

4.       To encourage the believers to be effectively be involved in the development of their communities.

When this building completed, the area will experience a new phase of development and will be the first time in the history of Pochalla County to build a physical church with modern style. In addition, the building will be a mission base.

 The total cost for this project is about $15,000. The detail as follow:

·         The actual money needed for this project is $9,340; Pochalla Congregation will provide funds for purchasing of bricks, sand, stone and pay workers.
